Statement Regarding the Gorilla Habitat Emergency

We are deeply saddened to share that Nigaba, our 19-year-old western lowland gorilla, died during an emergency response after a young visitor entered his habitat. The child was safely recovered and is reported to be in stable condition. A full investigation into the incident is underway.
