Please follow these rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone

Our animals are on carefully planned diets. Human food can make them sick. Only participate in supervised feeding experiences with keeper approval.

Balloons pose a danger to animals if they escape. They are not permitted anywhere in the zoo.

What are your hours of operation?

Our hours vary by season. During summer (April-September), we are open Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Saturday-Sunday 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM. During winter (October-March), we are open Monday-Friday 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM and Saturday-Sunday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Last entry is always 1 hour before closing.

How much does admission cost?

Adult tickets (ages 13+) are $34.99, child tickets (ages 3-12) are $24.99, and senior tickets (65+) are $29.99. Children under 3 are free. We also offer family packages and premium experiences. Visit our tickets page for complete pricing and to purchase online.

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

While advance purchase is not required, we highly recommend buying tickets online to guarantee entry, especially on weekends and holidays. Online tickets also allow you to skip the ticket line and go straight to the entrance.

Is parking available and how much does it cost?

Yes, we have a large parking lot with free parking for all visitors. Accessible parking spaces are available near the main entrance. During peak times, overflow parking may be used with free shuttle service to the entrance.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes! You are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. We have designated picnic areas throughout the zoo. Glass containers are not permitted. We also have several restaurants and snack stands if you prefer to purchase food.

Are strollers and wagons allowed?

Yes, strollers and wagons are permitted and can be very helpful for families with young children. Stroller rentals are also available at the entrance. All pathways are stroller-friendly.

How long does a typical visit take?

Most visitors spend 3-5 hours at the zoo. If you want to see everything, attend shows, and enjoy a meal, plan for a full day. We recommend arriving early to make the most of your visit, as animals are most active in the morning.

What if it rains during my visit?

The zoo is open rain or shine! Many animals are more active during rain. We have several indoor exhibits and covered areas. Tickets are non-refundable but can be rescheduled for another date with 24 hours notice. We close only in severe weather conditions.

Are there places to eat at the zoo?

Yes, we have multiple dining options including a full-service restaurant, a cafe, and several snack stands throughout the zoo. Options include pizza, burgers, salads, sandwiches, ice cream, and beverages. We accommodate dietary restrictions and have vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Can I touch or feed the animals?

For safety reasons, visitors cannot touch or feed animals except during supervised experiences. We offer special Animal Encounter experiences where you can interact with select animals under keeper supervision. These require an additional ticket.

Is the zoo wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the zoo is designed to be accessible to all visitors. Most pathways are paved and wheelchair-friendly. Wheelchairs and electric scooters are available for rent at the entrance on a first-come, first-served basis. All restrooms and most viewing areas are accessible.

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are not allowed at the zoo, as they can stress our animal residents and pose safety concerns. Service animals are always welcome and must remain on a leash.

Do you offer group rates or educational programs?

Yes! We offer discounted rates for groups of 15 or more, and special pricing for school groups. We also have educational programs tailored for different age groups. Please contact us at least two weeks in advance to arrange a group visit or educational program.

What should I do if I lose something at the zoo?

Lost and found items are kept at Guest Services near the main entrance. You can also email info@vanillazoo.com to inquire about lost items. We hold items for 30 days.

Are there lockers or storage available?

Yes, coin-operated lockers are available near the main entrance for a small fee. These are perfect for storing large bags, coats, or items you do not want to carry throughout your visit.

Can I celebrate a birthday at the zoo?

Absolutely! We offer birthday party packages that include admission, a private party area, decorations, and a special animal presentation. Contact us to learn more about our party options and availability.

What is your refund and rescheduling policy?

Tickets are non-refundable but can be rescheduled for another date with at least 24 hours advance notice. If the zoo closes due to severe weather, tickets will automatically be valid for a future visit within one year.
